Description de l'itinéraire

This route adds to the Tour de la Tournette a climb to La Clusaz and the very beautiful descent of the Col de la Croix-Fry (1,477 m), with its plunge in tight switchbacks down to Manigod. This section can be done in the opposite direction for the more athletic riders.
Direction of travel: clockwise.

Poulette's advice

If you’d like a more athletic version of this route, you can simply reverse the climb to the pass from Thônes, riding it counterclockwise. Things then get more serious: 850 m of elevation gain over 13 km, including 7 km above 7%, with 1 km at 9.2%.
Notably, Laurent Jalabert and Lance Armstrong crested it first, in 1997 and 2004 respectively.
Best done in the morning, before the sun beats down!
